„ Sind die Kernaussagen von Olsons Theorie richtig, und wenn nicht, wo liegen die Fehler
seiner Theorie?“ Zum anderen wird die Frage gestellt, „welche Möglichkeiten der Neuinterpretation
von Olsons Theorie gibt es und welche Perspektive bieten diese Neuinterpretationen?“
Begonnen wird mit einer Definition des kollektiven Handelns um dann im Anschluss Olsons
Theorie erst einmal darzustellen. Begonnen wird mit einigen Grundannahmen, um dann Olsons
Klassifizierung von Gruppen darzustellen. Weiterhin wird auf den Einfluss von Zwang
und sozialem Anreiz eingegangen und diese beiden Faktoren in einen Zusammenhang mit
rationalem Verhalten gebracht. Dann folgt ein Exkurs in die Spieltheorie deren Instrumente es
ermöglichen Olsons Theorie in mathematische Modelle umzuformen. Diskutiert werden hier
Modelle für kollektive Güter, die Freerider-Problematik und Sanktionsmodelle. Diesem Exkurs
folgt dann die Kritik an Olsons Theorie, welche die Grenzen dieser polit-ökonomischen
Theorie aufzeigt. Hier wird zum einen der Schwerpunkt auf die Anwendbarkeit von Olsons
Theorie gelegt. Zum anderen geht es in der Kritik um eine Relativierung von Olsons Schlussfolgerung
in Bezug auf die Schädigung der Gesellschaft und der Gesamtwirtschaft durch
Sonderinteressensgruppen. Im Anschluss an die Kritik sollen Möglichkeiten der Modifikation
und Neuinterpretation von Olsons Theorie dargestellt und analysiert werden. Im Fazit wird
dann die Fragestellung noch einmal aufgegriffen und abschließend beantwortet. Bevor die
Fragestellung im Fazit noch einmal abschließend und zusammenfassend beantwortet werden
soll, wird in Teil fünf auf die Möglichkeiten von Olsons Theorie eingegangen.
